Audio Description

Audio Description is a narration of the visuals that can't been seen by persons who are blind or have profound vision loss. A trained audio describer is describing, via a transmitter to the patron who has a transreceiver, the characters, costumes, stage setting, props, body language, etc. Audio descriptions are interspersed between pauses in the play and gives the patron a better understanding of show and the ability to fully enjoy the show.

Open Captioning

Open Captioning is a speech-to-text display to provide a simultaneous transcription of dialogue, lyrics and a description of environmental sounds for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing used at performing arts venues for scripted plays, displayed through an LED Board. This service can be used by everyone for viewing in a reserved seating area. Open captioning is considered a universal accommodation because it can be used by anyone regardless of hearing impairment, age or ability.

Peebles Theatre lobby, is open Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

On performance nights, the Diamonstein Concert Hall Ticket Office opens 60 minutes prior to the performance and remains open 30 minutes after the start of the show. Ferguson lobbies open to patrons 60 minutes prior to curtain.

FM assisted listening devices including headsets and induction loop devices are available.

Braille and Large print are available upon request with 21-day notification.

Parking is available in the loop located directly in front of the Ferguson Center, as well as in the CNU visitor lot located next to the Ferguson Center loop.
